Dr. Karen DeMoss is a licensed psychologist dedicated to helping improve people's lives by sharing research-based techniques during counseling sessions. She provides specialized individual therapy for adults, teens, children, and parents .
Dr. DeMoss places a high value on creating a welcoming, non-judgmental, and supportive atmosphere for her clients. She works alongside individuals to help them discover their strengths and provide strategies and skills to improve their lives. Helping clients understand how to change issues they are experiencing, coupled with genuine empathy, helps to facilitate real improvement in people's lives.
Dr. DeMoss is trained in Clinical, Counseling, Educational, School, and Applied Sport Psychology. She teaches skills to help clients to reduce anxiety, improve mindfulness, and develop coping skills. She has been in private practice for over 20 years and continues to build her practice on honesty, commitment, and professionalism.

Individual therapy sessions are designed to help clients navigate a wide range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship issues. Dr. DeMoss utilizes evidence-based treatments to help clients build resiliency, develop healthy coping skills, and achieve their goals. Dr. DeMoss provides individualized support to clients by developing a treatment plan alongside the client.
Dr. DeMoss is trained in the assessment and treatment of psychological disorders. Based on the client's needs, she helps them choose a therapy approach that will work best for them: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Therapy, Integrative Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, or Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
Athletes are no less prone to depression, anxiety, learning disabilities, relationship problems, or any of the conflicts and tensions of everyday life. Sessions help athletes improve their mindset and deal with issues impacting their performance, health, or well-being. Sessions are designed for the athletes and performers in areas that need attention. Some common areas are anxiety, confidence, consistency, depression, visualization, mindful behavior, motivation, coping with injuries, relaxation techniques, and replicating practice performance into game performance.
Teletherapy sessions allow clients to receive quality mental health care from the comfort and convenience of their own home; easy-to-use platforms provide clients with a safe and confidential space to discuss their concerns and work towards their goals.
Dr. DeMoss provides mindfulness-based therapy sessions to help clients develop a more mindful and compassionate relationship with themselves and others. She utilizes mindfulness-based techniques and biofeedback to help clients reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and cultivate greater self-awareness and acceptance.
Your initial visit is for 90 minutes. Subsequent visits are 45-50 minutes. Dr. DeMoss has a 24-hour cancellation policy. Each appointment is set aside specifically for each client. Any missed appointments with less than a 24-hour notice are subject to the full office visit charge.
Payments
Payment is expected during service and may be made by check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash, or from the client's Flexible Spending Card (HSA).
Dr. DeMoss is not a participating provider in any insurance plans; therefore, she is considered an "out of network" provider. She does not bill or accept assignments from insurance plans. However, She will provide the necessary documentation to file with your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Please note that reimbursement is a matter between you and your insurance company, and you should check with your insurance directly regarding your policy coverage.
